Project Description

Project Brief

“It is about time that a proper biography of Sir Geoffrey de Havilland was published”, says the Duke of Edinburgh in his Foreword to this book about the great aviation pioneer. He describes him as “an engineer and innovator in the mould of Brunel, the Stephensons, Trevithick and the other great British engineering pioneers”.  J.M. (Mike) Ramsden subtitles the book “A Life of Innovation”. The reader does not have to be an aviation expert to appreciate Sir Geoffrey’s creativity and leadership.

Size: 148x210mm. Hard-back, sewn sections, silver embossed on face and spine. Printed dust-jacket. 240 pages in extent. Printed on 140gsm white offset paper.

Client testimonial

Dear Richard

Just to say how pleased I am with the Sir Geoffrey de Havilland biography. You’ve got it just the way I wanted it from cover to cover.
In particular, the cover’s gold-embossed blue perfectly catches the famous de Havilland style. Inside you attract the readers with pages composed to hold their interest and attention.

I also appreciate the bookmark, the way the pages lie open, and the optional dustjacket—its main photograph delivering all that the book says about the great man’s character and leadership.
